Ready for a high-converting website? Here’s a deep-dive into my bespoke process and pricing.

So, you need a professionally designed website to help you level-up your business and reach your goals, and you’ve landed here. Amazing, you’re in the right place. But what actually happens after you book me? How long does the whole process take? How will I ensure you get a great return on your investment? And let’s be real… how much is it all going to cost?

Let me talk you through my entire process, from our initial chat to your website launching, so you know exactly what to expect.

Thinking about working with Studio Emm for your new website? Here’s what to expect.

When I’m working with a new client, it’s important to me that not only do we get great results and build a website that truly helps your business to grow, but that the process is simple, easy to follow, fun and with as little stress as possible. Investing time and money into a new website doesn’t have to feel overwhelming and it doesn’t have to be complicated. Here’s what we’ll do.

Step 1: Discovery call & strategy session

The first thing you’ll need to do is book in a free 30 minute website consultation. We’ll have a really informal chat about your business, your goals and what you need from a new website. Plus it’s a chance for us to get to know each other better and to make sure we’re a good fit for each other. We’ll be working together for 8 weeks, so it’s important that we get along. Plus, if we get that ‘we could totally be mates’ vibe, it makes the whole process way more fun and way more productive.

During this discovery call, I’ll ask you questions like like:

  • What’s your big vision for your new website? Don’t hold back, let’s dream big.

  • What are your goals? Do you need more leads? More sales? More brand awareness? More of the right client?

  • What’s working with your current website (if you have one) and what’s not working?

  • What pages do you need and what features and marketing tools do you need integrating?

  • Where do you see yourself and your business in 12 months time?

Step 2: Proposal and booking

After our call, I’ll send you a detailed proposal outlining your project scope and the deliverables as well as pricing and payment structure. If you’re happy, you will need to pay a 50% deposit to secure your slot. The final balance is due once we are ready to launch your website.

Once the deposit is paid, I will send you all of the on-boarding information (what I need from you, timelines, deliverables etc) as well as a client on-boarding questionnaire and a Pinterest board (this is when things start to get really exciting!).

Step 3: Mood boards and content

The first thing we’ll do when your project start date rolls round, is review your on-boarding questionnaire and your Pinterest board. I will start building an idea of your preferred design aesthetic and create a mood-board that captures this (don’t overlook the humble mood board, it’s such a great way of making sure you and I both have the same aesthetic vision in our minds). I’ll also make sure I’ve got everything I need from you (copy, images, branding elements etc).

Step 4: Strategy, design and development

This is when the real fun begins. I will pull together everything we have discussed on our calls and all of the information in your client questionnaire and create a custom designed home page that aligns perfectly with your brand, your business goals and your ideal client journey.

Although it’s important that your website looks beautiful (who doesn’t love a pretty website), it’s not the most important thing. We need to make sure that your new website is actually doing the job it’s supposed to do, whether that’s bringing in new visitors, making more sales, attracting more of your ideal client or getting more enquiries. And getting this bit right, all comes down to the strategy.

You’ll get sneak peeks along the way and a chance to provide feedback to make sure we’re on the right track. Once the home page is approved, I’ll design the other key pages before moving into Squarespace to build the website.

Step 5: Revisions and final tweaks

Before we launch the website, you’ll get a chance to work through all of the pages and make sure you’re happy with everything. You can request final tweaks and revisions. I will also run it through a thorough testing process to ensure everything is working correctly before it’s unleashed into the world.

Step 6: Launch and training

Once your website is ready to go live, I will handle all of the technical stuff so that you don’t have to. I can buy your domain or point your existing domain at the new website and setup your emails if needed. At this stage, you will also need to activate your Squarespace subscription and start paying for hosting (I can help with this also).

(For more information on Squarespace pricing, see: How much does a Squarespace website really cost?)

Next, I’ll send you a really useful guide that talks you through the best ways to build a buzz around your new website launch, such as what posts to share on socials and where and when to talk about it, and at the same time we will continuously refresh the website because we are just so bloody excited that we want to constantly keep looking at it.

Oh, and I’ll give you some one-on-one training to show you how you can login to your website, makes edits, change content, add new pages and upload new images. It’s super easy and I know you’ll be flying with Squarespace in no time.
