I use Squarespace because it’s perfect for business owners who don’t have the time to spend ages learning something new and complicated. It’s really easy to use and I know that once I have handed over your new website, you will be able to update pages and make changes with ease. It’s also an all-in-one platform, so it will do everything you need it to do, from managing domains and hosting to setting up a mailing list and selling digital files.

I don’t offer plans, but with the bespoke websites, the payment is split in two. 50% on booking, 50% on completion.

Whilst I’m happy to make suggestions and guide you, I don’t offer copywriting as a service. You will need to provide all of the copy for your new website and a professional copywriter is well worth the investment. A well designed website is going to bring people in and keep them on your website, but the copy has the power to convert those visitors into sales. I work with the best copywriter, so let me know if you want her details.

Much like the words on your website, the photography has the power to make or break it. You could have the best designed website in the world, but if the photographs are bad, it’s going to look bad. So with this in mind, professional photography would be a real asset, especially if you are investing in a bespoke website, but I get it, the money pot is not bottomless. So if you can’t stretch to a professional shoot, we can work together to source really great stock photographs that don’t look too stocky and that align with your business and brand.

I don’t doffer brand design, but I can recommend people that do - just let me know. Whilst a fully designed brand would be ideal, at the very least you’ll need a professional logo and colour palette before we start work on your bespoke website.

A brand document - logo, colour scheme, visuals, patterns etc (or at the very least, a professional logo).
All of the copy (words) written for each page of your website (I can recommend an amazing copywriter if you need one).

If you are investing in a bespoke website, theses additional elements are going to make a huge difference to how your website looks and how well it converts, so it’s really important to get these right before we begin the project.

Full bespoke websites usually take approx. 8 weeks. One-page websites will be around 3 weeks.

I start with a mood board to get an overall idea of how you want the website to look and feel. Once you’re happy with the vibe of the mood board, I’ll move on to flat designs of the home page, offering a couple of variations and refining it until you’e happy. I’ll then do flat designs for the other pages, which again, will be refined until you’re happy. This process ensures that by the time I actually build your website in Squarespace, you know exactly how it’s going to look. Plus we will be in constant cahoots along the way!

The process
After you get in touch, we’ll schedule an informal video chat (or a phone call if you prefer) to discuss what you need. I will then put together a quote for you.
If you’re happy, you’ll pay a deposit to secure your slot in the calendar (I’m usually working 2 months ahead) and I’ll send you a bespoke website brief form. You will send me your branding, copy (words) and photography.
Once your build date arrives, the fun can begin. The first step is to do a deep-dive into your business. We’ll discuss your goals, your hopes and dreams and exactly what results you need from your new website and we’ll put together a strategic plan.
The next step is to create a mood board and design all of the pages. We’ll be in touch a lot during this phase, getting the designs exactly right.
Once they ‘re done, I will start building the website in Squarespace. I’ll also send you a guide on how to announce the upcoming launch of your new website and how to create a pre-launch buzz about it on your social media.
Once it’s finished and you’re happy with everything, we can launch your new website, yay! You’ll get training on how to use it and there will be a 2 week cooling off period where you’ll get chance to use your website and request any minor tweaks.
